About the creative director.

Her core purpose is to develop authentic, remarkable, innovative leaders. She’s been working with corporate companies since 2019, and has developed award winning youth, with the results of them becoming specialists, team leads; retain full time employment and further demonstrate progress in their private lives. Thato’s advertising career began in 2012 at a Boutique Advertising Agency Blue Rain Marketing, where she lead her first strategy implemented across Africa, India and the Middle East for a global telecommunications/technology brand. Here she worked with up & coming artists, mavericks and opinion leaders to be brand love voices for the company, this is what we call influencers today. Her entrepreneurial spirit has enabled her to create opportunities and provide creative, strategic and operational support across various industries such as FMCG, health, banking, tech, law, mining, education, beauty, pageantry and entertainment. 

 

Her work has been described as ‘daring, liberating, professional, insightful and detailed’.

BEING AN AMBASSADOR & VOLUNTEER WORK

Thato is currently on the board of Beyond The Cycle, an NPC focused on education and youth development. She had a unique opportunity to become a One Young World Ambassador when she won The National Face of Clearasil competition hosted by Reckitt Benckiser and Euro RSCG, amassing 9745 votes from the country, and went on to represent South Africa during the 2011 and 2012 summits held in Switzerland and United States, championing the cause of self-esteem education as a delegate. She continues to represent the organisation through her work with youth social impact projects. Her experience with volunteering in compulsive eating disorder recovery programs broadens her understanding of mental health and unique life motivators. Involvement in educational and health initiatives is a priority and is open to collaboration with organizations that share a passion for nurturing leaders.​

 

EDUCATION & TRAINIING

She is a certified Neuro-Linguistics programming coach with the American Board of Neuro-Linguistics programming since 2015. She's a certified Level 5 Teacher with the TEFL Academy, recognised by the USA Department of Education. She obtained a BCom Marketing qualification, with Business Management major, whilst studying at Varsity College on UNISA curriculum. During this time she was a spokes person for the university along side the reigning Miss SA Teen of 2011. During her high school career, she grew to be a celebrated and awarded scholar of performing arts and public speaking on provincial level, participating in 4 musicals, directing her first play at 17, producing her first pageant at the age of 17, a roaring success sold-out show, with 700+ audience and 39 finalists. She concluded her chapter at Hatfield Christian School as a Student Leader.

PERSONAL LIFE

Thato lives in Johannesburg, South Africa; takes pleasure in swimming, cooking; and spending time with family and friends. She's an arts and culture enthusiast. With a historically complex and now evolving relationship with her body and food it is one of her most significant pathways to wisdom, understanding herself, and fostering deeper connection with God. Conquering private battles is a cornerstone of confidence and this is her message.

About the Research Associate.

Gugulethu is OBSESSED with information, and she could go on forever if she is not stopped! â€‹She aspires to be a policy writer for South Africa. She is incredibly attentive to people.

​

She completed Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with distinction, and has built onto her academic strength with rich experience in research and understanding customer needs. She's worked for companies such as News Clip Media Monitoring, Moody & Smith Consulting and Amazon Development to take care of customer services and engagement. She's got a stellar track record of awarded academic performance in university nationally and internationally, with distinction and recognised as a Top Scholar at Varsity College, Monash South Africa and Monash Malaysia. 

​

She made her leadership debut on the Television Program' 1 Day Leader' making it to the Top 6, celebrated for her solutions as a young leader tackling current affairs and the socio-economic state of South Africa. 

​

Gugulethu is passionate about human rights and events that contribute to humanitarian efforts. She loves to explore and immerse herself in a diversity of cultures, perspectives and experiences. Her travels across the globe through parts of Africa and Asia have made her conscious of the wealth in her South African background and upbringing. She enjoys keeping active by going to the gym and pursuing holistic health practices to preserve the strength of her young, bold heart. On any random day, she can be found planning a trip across the globe, and testament to her thrill for adventure, she also loves spontaneous getaways with glorious, scenic views of nature.

big dreams (and an ongoing mission to become

a morning person).

With 7 years of experience in art direction, I bring a fresh,

modern perspective that blends sleek, sophisticated designs with

bold, vibrant concepts. Whether it's crafting minimal elegance or

diving into dynamic, colorful creations, I thrive on pushing

creative boundaries.

Let me loose, and I’ll deliver eye-catching, high-impact designs

that not only grab attention but leave a lasting impression.

My ultimate goal? To turn ideas into unforgettable brand

experiences with campaigns that break the mold and demand

the spotlight. I explore every creative avenue to ensure we don’t

just meet expectations—we exceed them.

OH, I'M EDUCATED. 

I hold a Higher Certificate in Creative Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Brand Communications from Vega School of Brand Leadership. These qualifications specialize in creative strategy, brand development, communication and graphic design.
