Welcome to Authentic@Work presented by The Beautiful Practise. This is where you can continue your journey into being an authentic leader. The intention for this 52 week course is to share tools to help you lead with decisions with more authenticity, adaptability and inspiration so we can create workplaces where we bring the best of ourselves and inspire others. It takes practise to be able to move past difficult emotions and resolve it within yourself to do what aligns with your goals, values and ambitions- a very key way in which we can manage stress and fully express ourselves. Being inauthentic blocks creativity, it’s that simple. In a world where being innovative and agile is necessary, this can impede on your ability to be effective.

There are many factors that challenge our authenticity. We often find ourselves experiencing internal dialogue such as:

My company is constantly restructuring. I need to hold on to my job for financial security, but what I’m being asked to do just isn’t right for me. Do I quit?
My work pays my bills AND I absolutely feel miserable while I am doing it, how do I manage this?
I want to succeed in my job, but I feel what I have to do to do well is just not me! To be who I’m not is exhausting. What do I do?
I need to restructure my organisation, but I feel bad about letting good people go. Where do my personal values fit in?
My organisation is going through so much restructuring. I feel like I can’t really express my point of view in this high-risk environment. What do I do?
My work is important to me, but the 24/7 demands are overwhelming. I have other commitments that are important. How do I choose between work and life?
How do I draw boundaries as someone who wants to please the boss?
How do I express my view points on controversial topics?
How do I move past conflict with my team mates?
How do I handle office politics?
What does Self-Care actually mean at this stage of my life when I have so many responsibilities?
